Color Cast Correction
-
A color cast is whenever a color is not the right color :-)
-
Color casts can happen due to bad lighting (flash light is blueish, incandescent light is reddish etc) or due to chemical reactions in the photographic inks in a photograph.
All paper photographs will over time get some kind of a color cast.
However once we have corrected your photo and you have an electronic copy you can forget about this problem.
-
A uniform or even color cast is when the entire image has the same cast, i.e. the entire image has turned yellowish with age or a bad camera setting or lighting caused the colors to be wrong.
-
A variable color cast is when only some areas in the image has a cast or when different areas have different casts.
This can happen if one part of the image has been more exposed to sunlight than the rest or if some colored fluid was spilled on the image.
-
All color corrections are somewhat subjective. Please include directions with any order.
