Category IV Restoration

• Category IV images are like category III images with the extra challenges listed below. They may require "cloning" of areas from other photos or reconstruction of some areas from scratch

Some indicators are

• Blemishes & Spots: Many medium to large spots and blemishes partially or fully covering important foreground objects, major tape residue on important foreground elements
• Cuts &Tears: Irregular, wide cuts and tears with missing parts of image partially or fully covering important foreground elements
• Missing Parts: Major foreground or complex background elements missing which requires reconstruction from another related photo (like a face) or from scratch (like a fence, a vase of flowers, a book held in the hands, etc.). Photo may be in several pieces with some parts totally missing
